Because of a "Notorius" paragraph in Wittgenstein's 'Remarks on the Foundations of Mathematics' and the controversy it caused among mathematicians, logicians and philosophers, Hao Wang, among others, lay this controversy squarely at the feet of the fact that Godel was a Platonist, while Wittgenstein was a strong anti-Platonist. A Platonist believes that new mathematics is discovered, while a creationist believes that new mathematics is created. These and other ideas will be explored.
