DIMACS/LAMSADE Partnership Themes Computer Science and Decision Theory: Applications of Notions of Consensus Algorithmic Decision Theory

Two leading research centers, DIMACS in Piscataway, NJ and LAMSADE (Laboratoire d'Analyse et Modélisation de Systèmes pour l'Aide à la décision) (Laboratory for Analysing and Modelling Decision-Aid Systems) at the University of Paris-Dauphine have joined together in a collaborative project that will involve workshops, visitor exchanges, and student exchanges.

• First workshop DIMACS/LAMSADE Workshop on Computer Science and Decision Theory, October 27 - 29, 2004.

• Second workshop DIMACS/LAMSADE Workshop on Voting Theory and Preference Modelling, October 25 - 28, 2006.

• Third workshop DIMACS/LAMSADE Workshop on Algorithmic Decision Theory and Meeting of the COST Action ICO602, October 28 - 31, 2008.

• Background for the Computer Science and Decision Theory project

• Background for the Algorithmic Decision Theory project

• The DIMACS/LAMSADE collaboration on computer science and decision theory is leading to two special issues of journals:
  • Special Issue of Annals of Operations Research edited by Fred Roberts (DIMACS) and Alexis Tsoukias (LAMSADE), 2008.
  • Special Issue of Mathematical Social Sciences edited by Roberts and Tsoukias, in preparation.
